Long, long ago I was working a job in marketing/PR, and I decided I would never be happy in it, when what I really wanted to do was write stories. I remember telling my husband, “Who knows? Maybe someday I’ll have a book reviewed in the New York Times.” That was how I decided I would know when I’d “made it” as an author. Writing for children hadn’t even crossed my mind yet, and wouldn’t, until I became a parent and filled my house with children’s books.
It’s an absolute dream come true to have “Adrian Simcox Does NOT Have a Horse” reviewed by the Times! It’s a wonderful review, and the line that really sticks out to me is: “Chloe wants a series.” While I’ve not planned to write more about Chloe, or Adrian, I’ve learned to never say never.
